Kent was released in America in 1952 and is currently marketed in over 70 countries. It is the most significant premium brand of British American Tobacco (BAT). Yearly sales have increased by 10 % in 2011 to 67 billion cigarettes. Major markets involve Russia, Japan, Romania and Ukraine.

Kent was initially presented in Russia in 1999 in just three types. American blend, charcoal filter and round corner hinge-lid packaging all made to bring good results. After that, Kent witnessed remarkable year-on-year increase. These days, it has strong status in the Premium segment – each fourth premium cigarette marketed in Russia is a Kent cigarette brand.

2007. BAT Russia presented Kent Nanotek – a super slim king size range. 2010.
